Returning to work and everyday activity
Many patients find they can return to life's usual activities within a few months. For some, though it can take a long time to get back to your former activities after an intensive care stay, and some people find that they have to adapt to a new 'normal'. Returning to work:
Some patient will not be able to return to work for some time and will need to apply for welfare benefits. There are links below to help with applying for welfare benefits, but the Citizen's advice bureau provide useful services to let you know what benefits you can apply for and will also help you complete the forms.
Key welfare benefits are:
- Universal credit
- Personal independance payments (PIP)
- Pension credit
